Ural Oil & Gas LLP, in compliance with the 'SPZ Sanitary/Epidemiological Requirements' approved by the acting Minister of Health of Kazakhstan on January 11, 2022 (Order No. ҚР ДСМ-2), has launched a phased greening project for the Rozhkovskoye Field. Running from 2024 to 2027, the project focuses on planting and maintaining green spaces.
To implement the greening phases, Ural Oil & Gas LLP submitted a request to the Baiterek District Akimat for land allocation to green nearby settlements..
The Department of Housing & Communal Services, Passenger Transport, and Highways of Baiterek district designated the Michurinsky rural district, near "Dina" hypermarket, as the location for greening initiative.
The primary tree species chosen for the greening initiative were fluff-free pyramidal poplar, maple, and elm. These trees were selected for their ability to adapt easily to the local climate, fast growth, and robust root systems.
On the designated plot, Ural Oil & Gas LLP planted 500 saplings: 100 maples, 100 elms, and 300 fluff-free pyramidal poplars. Ongoing care and watering will continue through the end of the year.
Green spaces are vital to our health and well-being, as well as to preserving the environment and improving air quality. They serve important functions like producing oxygen, capturing dust, reducing noise, and adding moisture to the air.
