Askhat Hassenov, Chairman of the Management Board of NC KazMunayGas JSC (KMG), led a shareholder meeting during his working visit to the West Kazakhstan region. The meeting included representatives from MOL Group, led by Executive Vice President Zsombor Marton, and FIOC, represented by SINOPEC Vice President Zhao Wenmin. The meeting focused on the current operations of Ural Oil & Gas LLP (UOG), a KMG subsidiary, which began commercial gas production at the Rozhkovskoye gas condensate field at the end of 2023. The shareholders reviewed the operator's report on the field’s performance over the first eight months of 2024.
Askhat Hassenov also visited UOG's production facilities, where efforts are underway to increase gas production capacity. Currently, the daily gas output has reached 1.37 million cubic meters. By the end of the year, production is expected to reach 1.5 million cubic meters per day, allowing for an annual output of over 500 million cubic meters. Since the beginning of the year, 115,000 tons of condensate have been produced.
UOG produces more than 6,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) each month, which not only meets the energy needs of the West Kazakhstan region but also allows for surplus to be supplied to other parts of the country. The company is taking all necessary measures to expedite the second phase of Field Development Project.
KazMunayGas continues to make a meaningful contribution to the development of social infrastructure in the region. Recently, the company provided a new bus for the school in Kurmangazy village. The bus will transport students between home and school, as well as to olympiads and other extracurricular activities, much to the satisfaction of parents who appreciate the added comfort and safety. The school currently serves 41 students, including 11 who commute from the nearby village of Amanat.
